Severe Weather Update

Severe Thunderstorm Watch #680 has been issued:

There is a small cluster of thunderstorms currently ongoing.  There remains weak instability in the area since the passage of the morning storms.  However, a slight increase in instability and high enough shear values suggest a strengthening trend is definitely possible with this cluster of thunderstorms.  Also, the last convective outlook for the day has been issued by the SPC:

It has removed the concentrated probability for severe weather.  Right now we are closely watching the possibility of another cluster of storms generating in Northern Iowa.  Stay tuned.
