Severe Weather Update

Severe thunderstorm watch number 656 has been issued by the SPC:
They issued the watch due to the fact that the storms currently occurring have strengthened.  They expect a general strengthening trend to continue as the storms become surface based, meaning that instead of starting well above the surface, they now are close to the ground.  This only increases their ability to produce hail, strong winds and potentially an isolated tornado.  Afterwards, they may grow into a larger cluster of thunderstorms with strong winds and maybe some hail.  Stay tuned!
