Severe Weather Update

Mesoscale Discussion number 1685 has been issued.  It talks about the fact that they are going to upgrade the convective outlook to a slight risk in these areas:

It is because of a squall line bearing down on the area.  Also, there is possibility of new storms developing across the region during the afternoon.  Here is one model's (the HRRR) take on the situation:
