Severe Weather in the Plains

Severe Weather Outlook

Today has another slight risk with it:
As usual, people in the yellow zone should make sure that they and people around them are aware of the fact that they are at risk for severe weather, including the potential for widespread damaging winds and severe hail.  They should make sure that they have sure that they have an accurate source for receiving watches and warnings as they are issued, and that they know what to do if one is put out.  As of right now, the situation is somewhat complex considering the multitude of storm clusters hanging around the area.  If one of these were to track into the slight risk, the severe threat would be lowered.  Thus, considerable uncertainty exists.  Because of this uncertainty, a map and more detailed discussion will be issued later when things become clearer on the evolution of these clusters of showers and thunderstorms.  Also, look for discussions to come out with watches/MDs from the SPC, provided I am in office.  Stay tuned.
